For some organisations, their structure may not enable competency training for all employees to be viable. Where that is the case, this specialist course can help employers meet their statutory legal requirements under PUWER* in relation to the use of workplace equipment.
It is for individuals with a minimum of three years’ practical experience and enables them to deliver training within their own working environment, becoming a valuable resource to the employer.
The course is delivered by a Lantra Approved instructor and assessor within the specified land-based skills group. The minimum duration is four days and the group size is limited to four candidates.
The course comprises two parts;
- Lantra Awards Certificate of Competence in the chosen element(s) from the land-based skills group below
- Lantra Awards Train the Trainer Certificate of Attendance
Lantra equipment options available as part of this course are;
- Tractor Driving (with implements)

Further information about suitability can be found in the course summary sheet. This course is tailored to each organisation; please contact us to discuss your requirements. Employers are asked to note that completion of this course is not a substitute for competency training and does not allow participants to assess competence in the workplace, nor to award any type of certification.
