This interactive Seminar is based on a presentation by Martin Sampson, an experienced Head Groundsman and Instructor on turf and amenity maintenance. Martin has held senior positions in the Local Authority and private sectors, prestigious sporting venues and public schools. Martin well understands the differing dynamics and structures of these environments and has devised this Seminar to take account of the common processes and accountability across all sectors.

Alongside exercises and handouts, the Seminar gives an overview of the following areas in an easy to assimilate format:

  • Health and Safety including Risk Assessments
  • Chemicals/COSHH
  • Sports Turf and Grounds Maintenance
  • Machinery including daily checks and safe operating procedures
  • Budgets
  • Staff Training
