This qualification for the application of pesticide granules or for slug pellet applications is available through Lantra or City & Guilds NPTC. It covers;

- Personal safety when using granular equipment
- Measures to deal with pesticide poisoning
- Safe working practices
- The requirements for protected areas
- Environmental risks and protection of wildlife
- How to deal with incidents
- Factors to consider when using pesticides with granular equipment.
This course can be combined with the mandatory PA1/Safe Use of Pesticides qualification, or the learner must previously have completed it. Upon successful completion learners will receive a Certificate of Competence and a Skills Identity Card.
