It equips learners to work safely and effectively on machinery electrics. In the theory part, the instructor will ensure learners understand the electrical aspects of groundcare machinery. They will further that learning through practical demonstrations, before they gain hands-on experience identifying electrical components. They will learn about best practice in electrical maintenance and how to test for common faults.
Please note that learners must have completed the Groundcare Machinery Maintenance – Health & Safety e-learning module before staring this course. This is an online Health and Safety Qualification, completed in approximately 1 hour of self-study.
During the course learners will cover;
- Electrical safety
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Electrics fundamentals and component identification
- Preliminary electrical maintenance and best practice
- How to troubleshoot and resolve common electrical issues
- Electrical systems testing on turfcare machinery
This is an integrated training and assessment course. Upon successful completion learners will receive a Lantra Awards Certificate of Competence.
