Through this qualification, learners gain enhanced knowledge, skills and an understanding in
the safe use and application of pesticides using vehicle mounted boom sprayer equipment. Experienced instructors cover the basics of the machine and what it can do. Field work is followed by a rundown of decontamination and disposal techniques.
It covers, then assesses the learner’s knowledge, understanding and competence in:
- Identifying and describing how vehicle mounted spraying equipment works
- Preparing and setting up vehicle mounted/trailed spraying machines
- Identifying and describing how a spraying machine works
- Selecting and using the correct nozzles for any application
- Setting and calibrating the machine for a given application
- Filling the vehicle mounted spraying equipment safely
- Cleaning and decontaminating all the equipment safely
- Servicing the machine
- Operating a spraying machine safely and effectively
To attend this course you must be able to proficiently drive the particular vehicle(s) used during training.
We can deliver this course through Lantra or City & Guilds NPTC PA2. We are also able to deliver PA2AR, Application to Roads, PA2C Air/Fluid Nozzle Hortizontal Boom Sprayer, PA2E Boom with Downward Air Assistance, and PA2F Weed Wiper.
